About the teamThe Startup and SMB Account Executive team is a highly consultative sales team that is responsible for the acquisition and growth of Stripe's largest and most promising Startup and SMB customers.
As an Account Executive, you'll identify new opportunities for prospects to get the most out of Stripe by quickly understanding our clients' needs, execute scaled sales strategies to acquire new customers and drive product adoption.
What you'll doResponsibilitiesIdentify high-potential prospective users from inbound leads and outbound prospectingOwn the full sales cycle from lead to close for SMBsDevelop and implement full sales cycle strategies for driving new logo and product adoptionSolve complex client needs and work across product, sales, risk, and operations teams to improve our platformGenerate your own leads through cold calling, blitzing, research, networking, and driving your territoryMake every potential Stripe user happy with every interaction, regardless of deal sizeIdentify and understand users' pain points to propose Stripe solutionsSet up users for success by coordinating internally with other Stripe teamsWho you areWe're looking for a well-rounded strategic seller who can build strong relationships with Stripe's clients and manage high-velocity deal cycles.

Minimum requirements2+ years of sales or prospecting experience, preferably at a technology company, with a track record of top performanceAbility to understand complex technical ecosystems and build great relationships with technical customersAnalytical ability to manage complex sales cyclesExperience managing projects with input from cross-functional teamsA knack for working well with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externallyAbility and motivation to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environmentSuperior verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to meet or exceed sales targetsExcellent written and verbal communication in Italian Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users.
This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €111,000 - €166,400.
This range may change if you are hired in another location.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and specific location.
