Role Overview
Leadership and management of the Operations Team to achieve our business goals on a continuous basis, always seeking and implementing ways to improve. Promoting teamwork and close collaboration across departments and our people. Lead Operations Team performance reviews and improvement, planning and reacting to forecasted demand. Drive standards of work across the team. Coach, develop and performance manage the team to deliver their goals and objectives. Ensure the wider Operations team are well led, motivated and engaged to deliver best value and service for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for production, warehouse, maintenance, hygiene, planning, and label room.
* Coaching and development of team members.
* Drive performance of the team and lines to maximise safety, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
* Excellent communication with the team to set goals and targets on a continuous basis.
* Work cross-functionally to set the site standards across all areas of responsibility.
* Design and rollout the processes and procedures required to maintain site standards.
* Continuously improve to optimise ways of working, material flows, reduce waste, reduce cost and improve service.
* Set the culture by ensuring individuals and teams live the company values.
* Ensure adequate processes are in place to review and mitigate risks related to long-term labour requirements, storage and machine capacity.
* Promote health and safety standards and implement health and safety protocols to contribute to a risk-free work environment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Safety and performance of the Production and Warehouse.
* Maintain a high standard of hygiene.
What You’ll Need
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
* Ability to run a fast-paced operation.
* Experience in redesigning systems and processes and driving continuous improvement.
* Confident and analytical mindset.
* Experience in working in a cross-functional company with different reporting structures.
* Ability to work under own initiative.
* Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible in approach to contribute.
* Committed to continuous personal development.
* Ability to motivate, persuade, and influence the team.
* Well-organised with strong time management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
