Electrical Project Manager
Serving as a key member of the project team, the Electrical Project Manager oversees electrical engineering development, works directly with clients and project teams to define project requirements and develop technical solutions. They lead Pre-Construction Engineering activities and produce information, including design development, construction details, services coordination, technical submittals, and sub-contracts.
Responsibilities
* Develop and agree on design processes and deliverables.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems and execute project reviews.
* Provide technical support to estimating, procurement, commercial, marketing, and project bid teams.
* Offer off-site technical assistance to construction teams on projects, with travel to sites also required.
* Develop commissioning strategies and support commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
* Assess project designs and identify sustainable and value engineering solutions.
* Review Technical Submittals Library and update it with latest developments.
* Liaise with vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors, specialist designers, manufacturers, etc. regarding product specifications, validation, carbon footprint, and value engineering.
* Clarify queries with the design team through the request for information system.
* Ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in the engineering and construction industry is desirable.
* Strong technical skills in all aspects of Electrical Engineering and Construction Services.
* Experience in software such as Amtech, Dialux, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, Navisworks, BIM360, BIMCollab, and MS Office Suite.
* Professional registration or working towards registration.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to work well in a multifunctional team.
* Knowledge and experience of current design guides, codes of practice, standards, and regulations.
* Proactive attitude with strong ability to work independently.
