About Your New Job as Mechanical Engineer As the Mechanical Engineer based at Limerick Works, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for supporting plant maintenance and large-scale improvement projects, including: Working as part of the multi-disciplinary maintenance team, managing specific plant process areas and ensuring preventative and predictive maintenance are completed. Planning and overseeing major shutdowns and overhauls, managing contractors on specific projects, troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues to improve plant availability. Leading the scoping, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover of large-scale plant improvement projects that deliver business value and efficiency gains. What Skills You Need as Mechanical Engineer To succeed in this role, you will ideally have: A qualification as a Mechanical Engineer or similar. At least 5 years experience in a similar industrial maintenance or project engineering role. Strong knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in heavy industry. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven technical competence with strong commercial acumen. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD. A detail-oriented approach and ability to work independently while meeting project deadlines. A proven track record of contributing value to previous employers operational performance.
