Our client are the people behind Ireland's Electricity Grid. They operate the Power System with world leading levels of variable asynchronous Renewable Generation, ensuring that everyone has power when they need it. But that's not all, we are now transforming the Power System for future generations.
The role will be in the Customer & Generation Connections team within the Infrastructure Office. The Infrastructure Office is responsible for leading the development and delivery of the Power System including Connection of New Renewable Sources of Electricity to the National Irish Grid.
Job Description
The Senior Scheduler role is in Generation Connections team reporting to the Programme Manager. The Senior Scheduler must possess experience in large project delivery environment, ideally with an understanding of building and managing schedules against baselines to effectively communicate the schedule to key stakeholders and against set overall delivery targets.
The Senior Scheduler will be expected to develop a programme / schedule of connection offers to Generation Customers seeking to connect to the Grid providing reporting into the Programme Manager. They will be responsible to manage a complex schedule of multiple, interrelated offer projects to ensure they are completed on time to meet committed timelines. This will involve liaising with multiple teams to ensure timely deliverables are completed to meet required deadlines.
It is expected that the candidate will be educated to degree level in a Project Management, Engineering, or management discipline. Strong analytical & IT skills, particularly Primavera, MS Project Online, Excel, MS Office Suite, including Power BI is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for delivering and maintaining a detailed connection offer delivery schedule spanning across all workstreams and cross-functional teams involved in the customer connection offer process.
Leading the effort in maintaining the delivery schedule while ensuring strict change control.
Establishing and managing the Project Baseline and reporting of same, including Regular Schedule Variance Reports
Facilitating and leading Schedule Planning Workshops and reviews with a multi-disciplinary team developing interfaces with the other teams involved in the Offer process.
Conduct monthly Schedule progress updates to the connection offer process teams and Executives.
Ensure regular schedule status reports for the programme and sub-elements ensuring clear, timely and accurate information is provided to senior stakeholders as and when required.
Contribute to Developing Planning Processes and Procedures to support developing a wider culture of Continuous Improvement.

Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills will be essential for this role with the ability to forge and maintain strong working relationships.
Proactive ability to work independently and work with cross-functional teams including engineers, legal, regulation, consultants and contractors.
3+ years' relevant experience
Desirable:
Specific Project Scheduling experience with advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. MS Power BI plus hold relevant qualifications – engineering, project management, business supported with project management experience.
Proven track record of developing Work Breakdown Structures and creating project schedules.
Experience in communicating and reporting up to C -Suite
