AWS Solutions Architect | Permanent | Dublin & Hybrid
We are seeking an AWS Cloud Architect with a mix of Development and Infrastructure expertise to join our global end-users Dublin team. You will join a small team of high-skilled and certified AWS Solution Architects in the creation and delivery of strategy, architecture, and implementation for AWS-based products and solutions across the firm-wide AWS multi-account, enterprise-scale organisation. This is a hands‑on role, working in an agile environment leveraging DevOps principles and practices, reporting to the Cloud Architecture Manager.
Key Responsibilities

Firm‑wide strategy and roadmap leadership. Develop cloud strategies and future‑state architectures to provide sound long‑term products and solutions.
Implement strategies aligned to AWS’s Well‑Architected Framework principles with a mind towards Continuous Improvement, DevOps practices, and a mindset towards CALMS principles.
Participate in Socratic Methods with other Architects and colleagues on technical solution proposals, including Architecture reviews to drive optimal solutions.
Identify, develop, implement, support, and improve products, solutions, and operational activities using automated cloud‑based solutions.
Identify and adopt best practices, architectural solutions, and new technologies to address current and future needs.
Contribute to team efforts to maintain solutions, processes, and infrastructure tooling supported with clear documentation.
Key collaborator and communicator of technical strategies and solutions among multiple stakeholder teams – including Development, Information Security, Operations, Data Science and Business Teams.
Incident response support as appropriate.

Skills & Experience

3+ years’ experience of production‑scale solution architecting including assessment against AWS Well‑Architected Framework principles. Full product lifecycle experience designing high availability and performant operations from concept to implementation and high availability and performant operations.
3+ years of thought leadership and AWS technical subject matter expertise.
3+ years' hands‑on AWS experience, including IaaS, Containers, Serverless, IaC, and an “automate everything” mentality.
3+ years’ experience with AWS Developer Tools – CodeCommit/git, CodePipeline, CloudFormation and Terraform, AWS CLI, & Python.
3+ years' hands‑on AWS Security experience including, IAM Roles & Policies, Bucket Policies, CloudTrail, and Config.
Comfortable operating in a matrix organization, strong ability to communicate across teams to ensure alignment of technology strategy, best practices, and successful delivery.
Availability to support systems on‑call after hours as needed. Experienced in troubleshooting, deep‑dives, and debugging.
Experience using and supporting various Atlassian products, such as Jira, Confluence.
Experienced in Application Performance Management.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certification, preferably Solution Architect or Developer Associate.
Competence with migration tooling such as AWS server migration service, bare metal migrations, or 3rd party tooling for lift‑and‑shift approaches are needed.
Experienced and/or interest in Data Architectures.

You must already be eligible to live and work in Ireland with no constraints.
