We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer / Database Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex SQL queries and database solutions. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented person with deep knowledge of SQL and database management principles. Experience with Amazon Redshift is a plus, as we aim to continue enhancing our data infrastructure in cloud environments.Key Responsibilities:SQL Development and Optimization: Develop, test, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data retrieval and processing.Database Design and Management: Work closely with application developers and data analysts to design, structure, and optimize databases for efficiency and performance.Data Integration and ETL Processes: Collaborate in the development of data integration solutions, ensuring smooth ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes between various systems and databases.Database Performance Tuning: Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and apply indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques to improve database performance.Data Security and Integrity: Ensure high levels of data security, integrity, and availability in database design and implementation.Required Skills and Qualifications:Expertise in SQL : Proven experience in SQL development, with advanced proficiency in writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries.Database Experience : 5+ years of experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.Strong Understanding of Database Design : Experience in database design, indexing, partitioning, and normalization.ETL and Data Transformation : Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data transformation techniques.Performance Tuning : Skilled in database performance tuning and query optimization.Data Security Practices : Knowledge of data security principles, including roles, permissions, and encryption.Nice-to-Have Qualifications:Amazon Redshift Knowledge : Experience with or understanding of Amazon Redshift architecture, data warehousing, and performance optimization techniques.
