Senior Business Analyst at Codec
We’re hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join our team to deliver projects for our clients across a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on delivering Business Applications.

ABOUT THE JOB
Fundamentally, this role involves taking overall responsibility for eliciting, understanding and translating requirements and mapping them to the Microsoft Business Application technologies we use. We’re not looking for someone who creates large requirement documents that are hard to use, nor for someone unwilling to learn low‑code/no‑code Microsoft technologies.
In broad terms you will be responsible for the following:
Rapid prototyping client requirements to realize value fast
Driving early design decisions through entity modelling
Assisting customers in mapping high‑level business requirements to low‑level functional requirements, identifying issues and improvement opportunities
Challenging assumptions and identifying risk, providing solutions
Influencing stakeholders internally and with clients
Performing fit‑gap analysis as part of process design exercises
Mapping "As Is" and "To Be" processes
Playing a part in solution envisioning and the pre‑sales process
Working with Solution and Enterprise Architects, business owners and BA teams to fully understand and document requirements
Leading client workshops to scope and define projects, prioritise and execute tasks, model POCs and wireframes (lo‑fi/hi‑fi)
Leading user‑first training programmes designed by you
Liaising with client business owners, BAs and developers to confirm requirements in the chosen platform and tools
Managing the end‑to‑end requirements process in Azure DevOps
Supporting QA testers and business users during test cycles, resolving issues and bugs
Ensuring requirement traceability at each stage
Measuring and managing solution benefits mapped to business cases
Supporting smooth transition of systems and changes into operation, including documentation and user training
Controlling scope creep and managing your work scope
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrable business analysis experience, ideally with Microsoft Business Application projects
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, exceptional communication skills and results focused
Strong understanding of eliciting requirements in both waterfall and agile environments
Experience working under pressure with tight deadlines, preferably in consultancy or people‑services organisations
Comfortable with low‑code/no‑code tools such as configurable CRM systems, Power Apps, Dynamics 365 or similar
Ability to prepare for and conduct requirements workshops and collaborative prototyping sessions, leading to clear outcomes
