Data Analyst Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a suitably skilled Data Analyst to join their team. The duration of this post is 12 months initially with possible extensions thereafter. This role will be based in the Mid-West region & will be a Flexible/Hybrid Working - The successful candidate must be able to attend meetings/workshops as required. Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €33.19 per hour based on an annualised salary of €60,613. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays. Role Description: In order to meet day 1 data requirements, the business data analyst must have the ability to build the required routines to extract, transform and manipulate the legacy data which resides on a local application to meet the MFF specifications. The analyst must possess the analytical abilities to compare the extracted data to identify potential problems. design and create SQL Server queries, stored procedures, functions, and views. This role needs the required skills to troubleshoot items placed on the working item log. The analyst must support the digitisation, cleansing, and validation of legacy data of all data that resides currently on legacy applications and paper-based systems to produce prepared datasets aligned to the Day-1 cohort The analyst must support the mapping, standardisation, and structuring of prepared datasets to align with planned solution data requirements The analyst must support the conversion of structured datasets into load-ready files aligned to system input formats, sequencing rules, and execution requirements. The analyst must work with Service SMEs to support the validation, reconciliation, and formal approval of loaded data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for operational use Implementing data validation and cleansing procedures to ensure the quality, integrity, and dependability of the data. Improve the scalability and efficiency of data pipelines across multiple services Monitoring and resolving data pipeline problems to guarantee consistency and availability of the data. Optimisation of queries for performance and index usage Required: Proficiency in SQL, with experience in querying and manipulating databases and writing complex SQL queries/views/functions. Proficiency in preparing data for uploading to Health and Social Care clinical management systems Optional/Desired: Experience operating in the health and social care environment in Ireland Experience in Agile project management environment Business Competencies: Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
