About the Role:

">

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Conference & Banqueting Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our conference and banqueting department.

">

Main Responsibilities:

">
">
* Responsible for the day-to-day management of the conference and banqueting department, ensuring that all events run smoothly and efficiently;
">
* Assist in managing and controlling budgets and costs associated with conferences and banquets;
">
* Ensure that all aspects of the C&B operation are planned for, including cleanliness, training, SOP development, service and presentation standards;
">
* Liaise with suppliers and external stakeholders as required;
">
* Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue within the C&B department;
">
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery;
">
* Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills;
">
* Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss progress, provide feedback, and set goals and objectives;
">
* Manage and motivate a team of porters, coordinators, and chefs to achieve excellent results;
">
* Implement and maintain systems to improve efficiency and productivity;
">
* Monitor and report on performance metrics, making recommendations for improvement;
">
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continually enhance service offerings.
">

Requirements:

">
">
* Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience;
">
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior role within a similar 3/4-star property;
">
* Proven track record of achieving sales growth and revenue increases;
">
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
">
* Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines;
">
* Familiarity with budgeting and financial planning;
">
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
">
* Ability to manage and motivate a team;
">
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays;
">
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
