Project Management Specialist
A key role in our organisation is currently available for a Project Control Engineer. This 12-month position will be based in Waterford and will focus on the planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and performance reporting of projects to ensure timely completion within budget.
The role of this specialist
1. Develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
2. Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, milestones, resource needs, and deliverables.
3. Create and manage project cost estimates, budgets, cash flows, and forecasts.
4. Prepare weekly and monthly project dashboards, KPI reports, Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, and progress analyses.
5. Present project performance summaries to leadership, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation actions.
6. Identify schedule and cost risks; support quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.
7. Evaluate the impact of change requests; update forecasts and schedules accordingly.
8. Ensure adherence to change control procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
* 3–5 years of experience in project controls, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing sector.
* Experience working on capital projects, facility upgrades, automation, or equipment installations is desirable.
* Proficiency in project controls software (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, or similar).
* Strong analytical and financial modelling skills are highly valued.
