**Job Title:** Civil Engineering Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including hydrometric monitoring of national flood risks.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field, as well as excellent communication, problem-solving, and IT skills. They should also have an up-to-date knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations and the right to work in the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating and maintaining surface water monitoring stations located on rivers, lakes, and tidal locations across the South of the country
* Operating, calibrating, and maintaining rain gauge monitoring stations across the South of the country
* Installation of new gauges and stations, if required
* Installation, operation, calibration, and maintenance of data logging and telemetry equipment
* Data download, collection, validation, processing, and management
* Undertaking flow gaugings at river level monitoring stations
* Supervision of operational support staff (Ganger Driver) or other staff as directed by the Area Engineer
