Experienced Structural Engineer required for a new role in an established team in Cork.
We’re representing a long-established and highly regarded Irish engineering consultancy with a strong presence in Cork and across Munster. Due to continued project growth, they’re looking for a Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Cork.

Healthcare Projects - Primary care centres, hospital refurbishments, and community healthcare buildings
Public & Infrastructure Projects - Local authority civic buildings, bridge upgrades, and road infrastructure
Sustainability & Retrofit Works - Energy‑efficient retrofits, structural upgrades, and conservation projects
Duties
Deliver high‑quality structural designs across commercial, residential, healthcare, and educational projects
Undertake structural analysis, design calculations, and detailed modelling using standard design software
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other design disciplines to achieve coordinated project delivery
Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Attend site visits, inspections, and design team meetings
Ensure all work complies with Irish Building Regulations and Eurocodes
Provide technical guidance to graduate engineers and technicians
Requirements
Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in structural design (buildings, infrastructure, or both)
Proficiency in analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, STAAD, Tedds, Revit, or equivalent)
Sound understanding of Irish building standards, Eurocodes, and construction processes
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative design team
Based in or within commuting distance of Cork City
