has partnered with a client in the educational public sector client in Dublin. We are on the lookout for a senior
PHP Developer
with strong experience in modern web development frameworks and database technologies. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can design, build, and maintain scalable applications while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. This is day rate contract opportunity which requires an onsite requirement of 1 day onsite per month in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using
PHP 7/8
with
Laravel
and
Symfony
frameworks.
* Design and manage data storage solutions with
MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
.
* Build and integrate
RESTful APIs
and
GraphQL
services for scalable applications.
* Collaborate with front-end teams to deliver seamless user experiences using
HTML, CSS, JavaScript
, and frameworks such as
, React, and Angular
.
* Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a
PHP Developer
(7+ years preferred).
* Strong expertise with
Laravel
and/or
Symfony
frameworks.
* Proficiency in
relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
and
non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis)
.
* Experience building and consuming
RESTful APIs
and
GraphQL
endpoints.
* Solid knowledge of
HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
.
* Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks:
, React, Angular
.
Nice to Have
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
