Job Overview
You will join a collaborative team of data scientists and analysts responsible for advancing the pricing engine within the organisations pricing platform. The team delivers algorithms that determine optimal pricing strategies across multiple targets and constraints. In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining business rules using Python and SQL, enhancing test automation, ensuring effective code management, and documenting solution logic. You will also gain exposure to the teams data science initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop logic in Python and SQL to apply business rules within the Pricing Engine
* Create and maintain automated test coverage
* Manage code across environments including branch strategies and merge processes
* Analyse large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies
* Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to resolve issues
* Document logic and processes to support knowledge sharing
* Ensure high-quality standards in solution design and coding
* Work both independently and as part of an agile delivery team
* Follow established delivery processes and standards
REQUIREMENTS
* Degree in engineering, data science, computer science or related discipline
* Strong programming expertise in Python and SQL
* Proven experience in data analysis and problem solving
* Experience delivering changes to production systems using Agile methods
* Knowledge of deployment practices, version control and testing processes
* Hands-on experience with GitHub and code management
NICE TO HAVE
* Exposure to data science techniques
* Experience with Azure analytics solutions
* Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerisation
* Masters or PhD in a technical field
