Job Description: Client is a global financial services and investment company with offices in Dublin and Galway.
This is a senior engineering role within the Infrastructure Security Engineering Squad, part of the Application and Infrastructure Security Product Area in the Enterprise Cybersecurity business unit.
Experience 8+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise applications using major programming languages such as Python (preferred), Go, Java, etc., along with pipeline/build tools like Git, Jenkins, AWS CFT/CDK, Terraform, etc.
Experience building scalable applications on Kubernetes or similar platforms.
Knowledge of AWS technologies (or Azure/GCP equivalents) such as Elasticache, EKS, SNS, SQS, IAM.
Experience with data technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, AWS Athena, Parquet, PyArrow.
Experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes is advantageous.
Experience with unit and functional testing using PyUnit, Karate, or similar tools.
Hands-on experience with automation and pipeline implementation, including testing and CI/CD pipelines.
Skills Strong engineering skills with experience deploying maintainable, scalable multi-tier applications.
Ability to design and develop tools/applications using the technologies listed above.
Experience with test automation and understanding of test tools.
Experience working in an agile (Scrum) environment.
Effective communication skills to influence peers and decision-makers.
Strong analytical skills to resolve issues and work through ambiguous situations with timely decisions.
A passion for continual learning and mentoring team members.
