The IRFU are inviting applications for the role of Women's XV's National Teams Programme Manager (Maternity cover) .The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective m anagement and operation of the Women's XV's Program & Teams (Home & Away) and delivery of all services and operations within the allocated budgets .The position is being offered on a full time, 1 year fixed term contract basis to commence in January 2026. The role is based at the IRFU High Performance Centre, Sport Ireland Campus, Dublin 15.POST TITLE: Women's XV's National Teams Programme Manager (Maternity cover)ROLE SUMMARY:The effective Management and operation of the Women's XV's Program & Teams (Home & Away). Delivery of all services and operations within the allocated budgets.The primary role of the position will be the day to day Management of the Program, which is based at the High Performance Centre. The Program Manager will be responsible for all matters related to player welfare, efficient operation (as team manager) and logistical planning of all aspects of the IRFU Women's XV's programme which includes the Women's U18 & U20s National XV's programme. The role will involve working and travelling with the Women's XV's National Team for training camps, home \ away matches and tours.The Women's XV's National Team Programmes Manager will work with the Women's XV's Head Coach to develop and implement the XV's program and will work closely with IRFU Team Services Dept. regarding all travel and accommodation, team logistics for assembly nationally and internationally and all operations on planning and organisational matters. (All bookings and itineraries developed by IRFU travel department with regard to the XV's programme).This role will have a strong working relationship with the 7s Program Manager to ensure joint management responsibilities of Player movement between 7's and XV's.The role will require significant amount of weekend work and unsociable hours.REPORTING TO:Operationally: IRFU Women's XV's Head CoachFunctional: IRFU Head of Women's Performance and Pathways (HoWPP)KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. ProgramCoordinate Women's XV program design and development in liaison with WXV Head Coach.Day to day management of the Program at the HPC – Player Management/Scheduling with HPC Facilities TeamDesign and implementation of season plans for the WXV's programmes & Teams in conjunction with the IRFU Women's XV's Head Coach and HoWPP. Ensure season plans are maintained and communicated to the appropriate personnel i.e., Team Services Department, Rugby Department, Committee.Manage relationships with all Team Management staff, Team Services, and Rugby department (medical/nutrition, S&C, media, PR, logistics).Ensure effective player and staff management and build strong working relationships. Create a culture of consultation and engagement with players and staff.Ensure the Women's XVs players have access to a structured induction which includes requirements and expectations of all players. This will include information on values and conduct, as well as key policies such kit, appearances, and media.Create and consistently monitor a values-driven culture and environment based on performance, learning and enjoyment.Compile annual budget/forecasts for the programmes as required by HoWPP and ensure team and operational budgets are strictly adhered to.Liaison with competitions organisers Host Unions. Understand and ensure compliance with all competition requirements.Single point of contact for Players within the Women's XV's programme.Maintain an accurate list of player profiles, addresses and personal details.Ensure compliance with anti-doping requirements & ensure both staff & the playing group are fully aware of same.Establish good working relationship with RPI (Rugby Players Ireland).Any other duties as assigned by the Women's Head of Performance and Pathways to assist with the day to day running of the Women's XV's Programmes2.
