Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Communications Manager to join our team. As a Senior Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance the company`s reputation, engage stakeholders, and support business objectives.

This role requires a self-starter with significant knowledge of the Irish political system. You will oversee and manage high-impact projects across a wide range of public affairs topics, manage relationships with senior officials in Government, the civil service, and across a range of trade associations and other relevant organisations, and monitor and provide in-depth analysis of the legislative landscape and government policies.

You will also develop positions on legislative and regulatory issues and align these policies across the business, drive significant projects both independently and in collaboration with teams from across the business, and effectively manage internal and external stakeholders while navigating complex organisational dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage the implementation of the public affairs strategy
- Provide strategic counsel to c-suite executives on key policy issues, legislative changes, and potential risks.
- Oversee and manage high-impact projects across a wide range of public affairs topics.
- Manage relationships with senior officials in Government, the civil service, and across a range of trade associations and other relevant organisations.
- Monitor and provide in-depth analysis of the legislative landscape and government policies.
- Develop positions on legislative and regulatory issues and align these policies across the business.
- Drive significant projects both independently and in collaboration with teams from across the business.
- Effective management of internal and external stakeholders while navigating complex organisational dynamics.

Requirements:

- 5 years'+ experience in a communications/public affairs role
- Bachelor`s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Politics, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in developing public affairs strategies that align with business objectives
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Irish political system and experience in engaging with senior stakeholders
- Proven experience in media relations, including crisis communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and a track record in effective relationship building at all levels
