Unijobs on behalf of our Public Sector client has a requirement for a Data Analyst - Grade IV within their HR Department in Limerick City. The duration of the post is initially 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter. The role is fully on site, working 35 hours per week. the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €19.30. *This position may be subject to Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Clearance, if applicable you will be required to obtain these prior to commencing in this role* Temporary Contract - 3 months initially Role & Responsibilities To analyse and interpret data reports on HR metrics, ensuring analytical focus to identify trends, connections and areas for improvement. Identify trends and apply data sets to facilitate recommendations in terms of workforce planning, recruitment and retention. To build a repository of HR data reports and metrics. To ensure the highest standards of data analytics, business intelligence, reporting and support for compliance with best practice. Deploying solutions so that they provide actionable insights to the organisation and are embedded or integrated with application systems. Building and extending our analytics portfolio supported by robust documentation. Supporting and driving analytic efforts designed around the organisation's strategic priorities and business problems. Working in a team to drive innovation, which will translate into improved outcomes, reduced costs, efficiencies and process improvements. Demonstrating pro-active commitment to all communications with internal and external stakeholders. Transforming and loading data using provided data load tool. Adding/ amending data on the system. Assisting with management of all incoming data files. Perform all data-related tasks Skills & Experience: Familiarity with database design and proficiency in SQL Solid understanding of ETL, Data Mining & cleansing Data standardisation Familiarity with Excel formulas (VBA is desirable) The ability to work with data to identify patterns, use judgment to form conclusions that may challenge conventional wisdom, and focuses on the crux of issues to identify high leverage intervention points and strategies Must Knowledge in the following: Power BI Excel ETL Business Competencies: Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. The ability to quickly grasp and understand complex issues and the impact on service delivery. The ability to successfully manage a range of different projects and work activities concurrently, utilising computer technology effectively and assigning work to others as appropriate to meet strict deadlines. The ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders and to achieve results through collaborative working. Evidence of incorporating the needs of the service user into service delivery. Evidence of practicing and promoting a strong focus on delivering high quality customer service for internal and external customers.
