The role – what is it we would like you to do?
Currie & Brown is currently looking for an M&E Cost Consultant for our Dublin office. The successful candidate will support our directors in generating a high standard of service delivery on a wide range of private and public sector projects, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.
Your core duties will involve
* Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our client
* Assisting Director delivering projects, commissions and professional assignment
* Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
* maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
* undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision
* delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner, working under minimum supervision
* providing support to the project director in cost management of project
* representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationship
* producing Bills of Quantities for M&E works, including medium and high voltage infrastructure works., pre contract budgeting, bid levelling and post contract work

What skills and attributes are we looking for from you
* BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
* membership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCSI) – If not Chartered, on the road to chartership
* A minimum of two years' technical delivery experience
* experience of Public Sector Procurement in Ireland relating to M&E Services
* Pre- and post-contract experience using PW-CF1 & 5 relating to M&E Services
* Experience of project cost control, including management & negotiation claims
* Good client-facing and communication skill
* Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
* A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
* CostX experience preferred, but not essential
* Driving Licence
* Ability to pass Garda Vetting and Security Clearance procedure
