Product Manager – Payments

Role Summary
Retail inMotion is seeking a curious, passionate and technically adept Product Manager – Payments to lead the product development and delivery of our payment gateway and POS solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable payment experiences across our airline retail platforms.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, compliance, and commercial—to deliver innovative payment solutions that drive revenue, reduce friction, and meet global regulatory standards.
Job Requirements
* 8+ years’ experience in a payments-focused product role, ideally within a technology or fintech environment.
* SME in the field of payments with an ability to define and execute a clear product vision and roadmap.
* Self-starter with a curiosity for all things payments, who likes having space and autonomy to drive and deliver initiatives.
* Proven track record of delivering payment gateway or POS products in an agile setting.
* Strong understanding of payment architecture, including APIs, acquirer integrations, fraud prevention, and reconciliation.
* Experience working with payment service providers (PSPs), acquirers, and hardware vendors.
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and has an appreciation for white boards.
* Skilled in balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
* Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making.
* Experience working with offline payment solutions a plus.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like culture with shifting priorities.
* Degree in a technical, business, or financial discipline.
* Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
* Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Retail inMotion’s payment product suite, from ideation to delivery and optimization.
* Translate the product vision and roadmap into clear, incremental deliverables that enhance payment capabilities and merchant experiences.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., acquirers, PSPs, hardware vendors) to ensure robust integrations and performance.
* Define and monitor KPIs such as transaction success and fraud rates.
* Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, PSD2, and other relevant payment regulations.
* Lead discovery and research into emerging payment technologies (e.g., contactless, tokenization, mobile wallets).
* Drive frequent releases that improve payment reliability, speed, and user experience.
* Break down complex payment challenges into actionable solutions, balancing technical feasibility with business impact.
* Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring merchant and passenger needs are reflected in product decisions.
* Partner with pay operations and legal teams to manage risk, chargebacks, and reconciliation processes.

* Multi-Channel Payment Acceptance: In-flight POS terminals, mobile devices, and pre-order platforms supporting cards, mobile wallets, and alternative payment methods.
* Integrated Payment Gateway: Real-time authorization, tokenization, fraud detection, and multi-currency support via global PSPs and acquirers.
* Secure & Compliant Infrastructure: PCI DSS compliance, end-to-end encryption, and support for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA).
* POS System Integration: Sales tracking, refunds, reconciliation, and integration with inventory and loyalty systems.
* Reporting & Analytics: Transaction reports, settlement summaries, and performance monitoring across routes and devices.
