About Our Client
We are partnered with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering critical infrastructure projects across Ireland. With a strong national footprint and an established presence in the West of Ireland, the business has built a reputation for reliability, programme certainty and commercial strength across complex infrastructure environments.
Their portfolio spans water infrastructure, civil engineering works, transport upgrades and energy-related projects. Operating across public and private frameworks, they are recognised for delivering technically demanding schemes that require disciplined cost control, strong contract management and rigorous governance.
As an employer, they offer structured commercial systems, long-term project pipelines and a supportive leadership team. This is an organisation that invests in its people, provides clear progression pathways and supports professional development at senior levels.
What They Are Looking For
They are seeking a
Senior Quantity Surveyor
to join their Galway-based commercial team, reporting directly to the Commercial Lead. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of local transport and civil infrastructure projects across the region.
This hire is driven by continued project awards and sustained regional growth. The role will involve full lifecycle commercial management—from cost planning and procurement through to final accounts—while ensuring compliance with Public Works Contracts and maintaining commercial control across live sites.
The ideal candidate will have 6–7 years' post-graduate experience within the Irish civil contracting market. You will be commercially astute, confident managing subcontractors and capable of operating independently while contributing to a collaborative project team environment.
Why This Role Is Unique
This is an opportunity to take ownership of commercially significant infrastructure projects within your local region, rather than being site-hopping across the country. You will gain exposure to public-sector transport works while operating within a well-structured commercial team.
For an ambitious civil QS, this role provides strong long-term stability, continued exposure to infrastructure frameworks and a clear pathway toward Commercial Manager level.
