A role in corporate treasury is multi-faceted, encompassing a broad spectrum of responsibilities that span multiple dimensions. As a skilled professional in this field, you will be responsible for delivering consultative services to clients, driving growth through relationship development and customer satisfaction.
This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess business practices and articulate gaps and opportunities for improvement compared to industry standards. Experience and understanding of treasury operations, including cash management, financial risk management, funding and debt management, bank relationship management, are also essential. Additionally, knowledge of accounting and valuations of financial instruments, as well as the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences, is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
* Corporate Treasury Advisory and Consulting:
* Systems implementation support;
* Maturity assessments;
* Improvement projects;
* Controls and governance reviews;
* Cash flow forecasting, cash flow management and optimization;
* Financial due diligence support.
EY Audit Support: Providing expert knowledge to audit clients on financial instrument valuations and accounting, hedge accounting, expected credit loss allowance calculations and incremental borrowing rate calculations.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Fully qualified chartered accountant or equivalent;
* Treasury qualification (ACT, AMCT, CFA) and relevant experience working in a Corporate Finance or Treasury role;
* Degree level education in an Accounting/Finance/Quantitative/Economics related subject;
* Relevant professional Treasury experience;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to assess business practices and articulate gaps and opportunities for improvement;
* Experience and understanding of treasury operations;
* Knowledge of accounting and valuations of financial instruments.
