Internal Auditor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Auditor to join a well–established and diversified Irish organisation operating across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, and consumer products.
The Role
Reporting within a collaborative finance and governance structure, the successful candidate will take ownership of the internal audit function and contribute to a range of operational and strategic projects across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and present the Annual Internal Audit Plan based on risk assessment, including timelines and audit priorities
Plan and deliver internal audit assignments across financial, operational, and systems controls
Assess compliance with internal policies, procedures, and best practice standards
Prepare clear and detailed audit reports with practical recommendations for improvement
Monitor and follow up on agreed actions and remediation plans
Support management teams in enhancing internal controls and governance processes
Lead and coordinate annual group risk assessment activities
Participate in ongoing operational and systems‑related projects across the organisation
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant and member of a recognised professional accountancy body
Previous experience within a large accounting firm or internal audit function of a sizeable organisation
Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders
Comfortable with challenging existing processes and recommending improvements
Strong presentation and reporting skills
Full clean driving licence and own transport required
