Job Summary
As a Senior Healthcare Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing and social care to residents in our nursing home.
You will oversee the implementation of nursing home policies and clinical standards, collaborating with staff to maintain high standards and identify areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement action plans with the Director of Nursing to address clinical and non-clinical issues.
* Conduct thorough reviews of residents with pressure sores, falls, or clinical deterioration to ensure appropriate management plans are in place.
* Supervise medication administration and compliance among nursing staff, ordering and maintaining monthly stock and inventory.
* Liaise with GPs and pharmacies regarding medication reviews and audits.
* Provide support and training to Staff Nurses and Care Assistants, working alongside them to maintain a visible presence.
* Implement and monitor the Named Nurse and Named Care Assistant system.
* Identify training needs with the Director of Nursing and deliver in-house training on topics such as infection control, palliative care, and understanding challenging behavior.
* Conduct regular environmental and hand hygiene audits, creating and maintaining risk management plans with the Director of Nursing.
* Audit documentation systems, addressing any issues with nursing and care staff.
* Interact daily with residents and families, acting as a key point of contact and ambassador for the nursing home.
