Assistant Lecturer in Applied Mathematics (Specified Purpose Wholetime) (Reference: 292a/2025)
The successful candidate will be a talented, well-qualified applied mathematician with a strong track record of teaching, research and scholarship in this discipline who will contribute to all the activities of the School and its development. In particular, the appointee will teach advanced mathematics to students specialising in mathematics and statistics, teach mathematics as a component students programmes in different disciplines, supervise research in the mathematical sciences, publish research at the forefront of applied mathematics and engage actively with the wider community through outreach and promotional activities
Hours of Work:
This is a wholetime post. In addition to teaching hours (up to 18 hours per week), attendance is required from Monday to Friday during the general working hours of the School and Faculty.
Location:
The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght. Regular attendance at other sites will be required.
Salary
The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale.
The Salary For This Post Is
€ 51,153 - € 63,104
€46,601- € 63,104 (New Entrants)
Appointments will be made at the appropriate point on the appropriate scale.
