We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate leader to join our new respite service as a Manager of Residential Care.
This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of setting up a new service and making a lasting impact on the lives of our residents and their families. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage staff rotas, performance, and professional development
* Lead by example in promoting dignity, respect, and person-centred care
* Ensure care plans are up to date, accurate, and person-centred
* Monitor the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents
* Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly
* Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards
* Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments
* Keep accurate records and report to regulatory bodies as required
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Recognised Level 8 qualification in health or social care and registered with CORU
* Level 6 in Management
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role in Respite setting
* Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and care standards (HIQA, safeguarding policies)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
