An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Specialist to join a leading and well-established sales team operating within the Pharmaceutical, Food, and Industrial sectors. This role will involve managing both existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities across Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth and offering technical expertise to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and grow business.
* Identify customer requirements and provide tailored product solutions.
* Deliver product presentations and demonstrations that clearly communicate technical benefits.
* Meet and exceed sales targets, providing regular progress updates to management.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor products, and innovations through research and attendance at relevant trade shows, seminars, and training events (including occasional international travel).
* Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and seminars.
* Collaborate closely with colleagues across sales and other departments, as well as external suppliers.
Candidate Profile:
Education & Experience:
* A Bachelor’s degree in a biological science or a related field is essential.
* Prior experience in a technical or laboratory environment (particularly in Pharmaceutical, Food, or Industrial sectors) is highly desirable.
* Previous sales experience is advantageous but not essential; candidates with strong commercial awareness will be considered.
Skills & Competencies:
* A self-starter with a strong drive to succeed in technical sales.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Technical aptitude and a consultative approach to customer engagement.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to travel regularly within Ireland, with occasional international travel.
