Senior Azure Data EngineerDublinPermanent - €95,000 + Bonus + BenefitsHybrid - 2-3 Days per week onsiteWe are seeking an experienced Data Engineer professional with a strong background in data modelling, data architecture, Data bricks, Delta Lake and expertise in Azure and Microsoft Synapse and Fabric.What You'll DoData Integration & ETL:Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL pipelines using Microsoft Synapse, ensuring seamless integration from multiple sources into our data warehouse.Data Modelling & Architecture:Develop and maintain robust data models and implement best practices in data warehousing and data management, ensuring data accuracy, security, and reliability.BI Development:Create interactive dashboards and reports using the Microsoft BI stack (including Power BI), collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful data visualizations and analytical reporting solutions.Collaboration:Partner with BI developers, data analysts, and business users to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions. Provide guidance on data best practices to team members.Performance & Optimization:Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data processing and storage solutions for maximum performance and availability.What We're Looking ForEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).Experience:6+ years in a Data Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Synapse, data integration, ETL, and data modelling.Technical Skills:Microsoft Stack - Power BI, Synapse, Fabric, Azure etc.Strong background in data modelling and data architectureProficiency in SQL and database query languagesIn-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologiesFamiliarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plusKnowledge of big data technologies is advantageousCertification in Microsoft Synapse or related tools is a plusSoft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentDetail-oriented, with a focus on data quality and accuracyPortfolio of previous Power BI work is highly desirable
