Overview
Retail Customer Service Associate role at FedEx Office. The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives and provide solutions. This role is knowledgeable across the Store’s business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating activities in the Store, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates and maintains equipment, moves boxes and materials, manages the production queue and output, handles complex projects, manages retail supply, and completes assigned tasks by priority.
Responsibilities
* Follows instructions of supervisors and assists other team members in performing store functions.
* Assists in training store team members.
* Demonstrates consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer’s individualized need.
* Provides customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics and shipping product lines; recommends appropriate FedEx Office products and services.
* Delivers outstanding customer service by anticipating needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions.
* Resolves customer problems quickly and to the customer’s satisfaction.
* Processes complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information.
* Assembles parcels and prepares goods for shipping, including wrapping, boxing, weighing, and labeling.
* Sets up and operates printing, binding, and related equipment using customer-supplied media and documents.
* Maintains a safe, clean and orderly retail store.
* Maintains confidentiality of customer data and handles documents, media, and packages carefully.
* Processes financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal, including handling cash and making change.
* Clears and stocks retail printing and shipping equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance and availability.
* Stays current on merchandising materials and ensures proper display of product and signage.
* Performs multiple tasks, seeks knowledge improvements, and operates with minimal supervision.
* Adheres to all company standards and policies including HR, safety, and security policies.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent education.
* 6+ months of specialized experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Functions
* Ability to stand during the shift (excluding meal/rest periods).
* Ability to move and lift up to 55 pounds.
* Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees as required.
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure and with minimal supervision.
* Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods and to report to work as scheduled.
