Here at Americold Dublin we are now recruiting for a Transport Planner.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Planner to oversee the efficient allocation and utilization of fleet and driver resources. This role is critical in ensuring that all vehicles are deployed effectively and that no job on the transport system is left unplanned.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing resource availability, developing profitable and achievable transport plans in compliance with Transport Legislation, EU Regulations, and the Working Time Directive. They will lead the planning and resourcing of all weekend activities and ensure drivers are accurately briefed on their daily assignments.
Key responsibilities include identifying and assigning vehicles with back-loading opportunities, maintaining and updating all relevant transport systems, and working in close collaboration with the UK Transport Planner and UK Subcontractor to assess and coordinate outsourcing needs.
The role also involves monitoring and achieving set KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with the Planning Manager, and ensuring clear and effective communication across internal teams and external partners. Flexibility to provide cover across different areas of the department as needed is also required.
