Job Summary
Dublin Discovered Boat Tours are currenty seeking applicants for the position of Vessel Operator.
Applicants are being sought for the role of Skipper onboard our Vessel that operates sightseeing cruises on the River Liffey and the Grand Canal.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must possess previous experience in Boat handling and have a demonstrable level of competence in a marine environment.
Applicants must also possess the following:
1. An approved certificate of competence in Boat handling issued by the Irish Sailing Association, Department of Transport or equivalent Authority or Marine Engineering qualifications
2. First Aid certification
3. Prior experience in boat handling
4. Strong Literacy and Numeracy skills. Fluent written and spoken English is essential to the role
In addition to the above previous experience in a management or supervisory role is desirable .

This role is for a Vessel operator, providing Skippering services on our river cruise vessel operating on the River Liffey.
We are engaged in providing cruises to the domestic and international tourism market.
In addition to fulfilling the core role of daily operations, additional maintenance and technical tasks shall be assigned to the Vessel operators who also form a part of the onboard maintenance team.

Pay: €17.00-€21.73 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
