This role is ideal for a seasoned Head Chef or an ambitious Sous Chef looking to elevate their career at a third-level education centre and residence hall catering to international students.Key Responsibilities:
* Menu Creation & Implementation:Collaborate with leadership to design menus that highlight local produce and cater to a diverse audience, including students, faculty, executives, and artists. Your skills will be showcased across various settings, from chef plates to three-course à la carte menus and buffets.
* Culinary Excellence:Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests, ensuring high standards and adherence to programme requirements. Offer cooking demonstrations of traditional Irish cuisine to interested guests.
* Operational Management:Manage food orders, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
* Team Leadership:Work closely with the hospitality manager and sous chef to meet the catering needs of various programmes, seminars, and events.
* Health & Safety Compliance:Adhere to HACCP regulations, maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and ensure the wellbeing of all guests and staff.
Ideal Candidate:
* Passionate about cooking with Irish ingredients.
* Flexible, enthusiastic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Experienced in creating dynamic and bespoke menus.
* Committed to supporting local food suppliers and producers.
* Experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef with a readiness to step up to a Head Chef role.
