Project Manager – Leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company (Dundalk) Contract Duration: 11 months Attractive Pay Package
About the Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the PMO (Project Management Office/Centre of Excellence) at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Dundalk. This role plays a key part in ensuring excellence in project delivery and is embedded within a cross-functional team responsible for leading and governing projects on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage selected projects within the site’s project portfolio, covering process improvement, new system delivery, and NPI (New Product Introduction) initiatives within the Drug Product specialization.
* Lead and support rapid improvement projects using the most suitable project execution methodology (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.).
* Collaborate with project sponsors to ensure a fully defined and understood project scope at initiation.
* Promote project management best practices by working closely with cross-functional teams to drive effective execution.
* Proactively identify and resolve issues, escalating risks to relevant on-site and above-site stakeholders as needed.
Experience & Qualifications
Required:
* 6+ years of industry experience, with at least 4 years in a project management role.
* Expertise in project execution methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.).
* Proficiency in project management tools/software.
* Strong experience in leading cross-functional matrix project teams.
* Background in MPS/Operational Excellence – Green Belt certification.
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
Pharmaceutical industry experience.
Desirable:
* Experience in a Vaccines, Biologics, or Sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
* Project management qualifications (e.g., PMP certification).
