C&D Foods has 7 production facilities across 6 Countries (Ireland, Denmark, Austria, Spain, The Netherlands and the UK) and 2 sales offices (Germany and Italy). C&D Foods’ Head Office is in Mullingar, County Westmeath.

C&D Foods have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role will be based in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Payroll Administrator will work within a team and will share responsibility of end-to-end processing of the payroll function.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparation and processing of weekly payroll.
2. Prepare payroll analysis reports.
3. Ensure all payroll data is entered accurately and in a timely manner including new hires, terminations, tax changes and other payroll related information.
4. Respond to employee’s payroll enquiries.
5. Issuing of payslips, payroll related taxation, social welfare documents and other documentation.
6. Filing monthly returns with Revenue to ensure that all employer obligations are managed in accordance with Revenue guidelines via ROS.
7. Calculating holiday and sick pay and dealing with any queries regarding same.
8. Updating new joiners/leavers on payroll.
9. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive material and information.
10. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
11. Liaising with Employment agencies on a weekly basis in relation to temporary staff to include weekly hours, holidays and sick pay.

Personal Competencies & Qualifications:

1. Payroll Experience is advantageous but not essential.
2. A distinct ability to time manage effectively in order to meet strict deadlines.
3. Ability to work on own initiative and successfully prioritise workload.
4. Strong written and communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly.
5. Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels.
6. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance immediate and long-term priorities.
