Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure Quality Management Systems are in place and adhered to at all times.
* Assist with maintaining BRCGS accreditation for Storage, Distribution and Wholesale.
* Temperature and Hygiene Checks on storage areas, in accordance with Foods safety regulations.
* Issuing Certificates of conformances/ Certificates of analysis to customers.
* Inspecting and assisting with the return process and credit notes.
* Daily, weekly and monthly hygiene & GMP checks including internal GMP audits.
* Conduct monthly internal audits.
* Logging and investigating customer complaints and supplier non-conformances.
* Assisting with the supplier approval procedure.
* Conduct traceability exercises and mock recalls.
* Process customer queries such as technical queries, specification requests and customer questionnaires.
* Keeping customer allergen portals up to date.
* Assisting with customer notifications of product changes.
* To assist the Quality Manager with the any delegated tasks and responsibilities.
* To assist the Quality Manager with customer audits and site standards.
* To support all departments of the company with any queries regards to Food safety and product details.
* Maintenance of pest control programme.
* Production checks including building recipes, specifications and creating labels.
* Assist the NPD team with approving product specifications, labels and packaging.
* Ensuring product complies with specification standards.
Requirements:
* Minimum of one years' experience working within a Food related environment and Quality Assurance.
* Knowledge and qualifications in HACCP, Allergen legislation and internal audits is required.
* Good understanding of food safety standards and legislation.
* Hands on knowledge of HACCP and BRC standards.
* Strong excel and presentation skills.
* Ability to work in a busy environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ecommerce knowledge is an advantage.
