The Job in a nutshell As Project Manager within the Projects team based in Dublin, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of construction and builtenvironment projects across Ireland.
The role requires a strong technical understanding of built environment projects (Mechanical, Electrical, Fire alarm installations, fit out, fire remedial works, small construction etc.), processes, contract frameworks, and stakeholder management.
You will split your time approximately 60% in Dublin and 40% across nationwide travel, working closely with subcontractors, consultants, account operation teams, internal teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This is a handson, deliveryfocused role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can adapt governance to project scale, and enjoys building strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Governance o Deliver a range of construction and builtenvironment projects from initiation through to completion and handover.
o Identify and implement project governance, documentation, and reporting appropriate to the scale and complexity of each project ensuring efficiencies in delivery without compromising quality o Manage projects by keeping adequate records of actions, risks, budgets and progress using tools such as MS Project or Monday.com.
o Maintain accurate and up to date project documentation.
Stakeholder Client Management o Work closely with clients to understand project requirements, expectations, and the defined scope of works.
o Identify and Manage design team consultants in Project design and delivery o Act as the primary point of contact for project communications, updates, and issue resolution.
o Work cross functionally with internal stakeholders including operations, QHSE and finance teams.
Subcontractor Supply Chain Management o Obtain, compare, and evaluate subcontractor quotations to support client requirements.
o Carry out tendering process for technically complex, high value or contracted projects o Coordinate and oversee subcontractors to ensure highquality delivery, adherence to programme, specifications, and site requirements.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors.
Commercial Contractual Control o Apply knowledge of public works and construction contracts including PWC (e.g., PW5), RIAI Blue Form, and similar contract frameworks.
o Apply required cost control and reporting measures to the project such as Stage claims o Apply contractual requirements to the project including, programme monitoring, progress reporting, change and variations management and budget management o Contribute to tendering, scope development, and budget management as required.
Quality, Safety Compliance o Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards and meet client expectations.
o Support safety compliance across all project activities, including site inspections and documentation.
o Manage project closeout processes including snagging, documentation, and handover packs.
Additional Suggested Responsibilities o Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Projects team.
Represent the Projects team professionally in client and stakeholder meetings About you: Essential: o Formal project management qualification (e.g., QQI, PMICAPM, PMIPMP, or equivalent).
o Proficiency with MS Project, Monday.com, or similar project management tools.
o Demonstrated experience delivering projects within the built environment (Small construction, mechanical/electrical, fitout, small civils, or similar).
o Flexibility to travel nationwide and to work primarily from Dublin (60% Dublin area/40% Nationwide).
o Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholdermanagement skills.
o Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing project demands.
o Experience working on projects in occupied or operational environments.
o Full clean driving licence.
