We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Infection Control Specialist. As a key member of our hospital's IPC department, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice to clinical and non-clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective infection control strategies to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
* Lead investigations into outbreaks and incidents, implementing control measures to prevent further occurrences.
* Conduct regular audits and assessments of infection control practices, identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations for change.
* Design and deliver education and training programs for healthcare staff on infection control best practices.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with active registration and recognized qualification or training in infection prevention and control.
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in infection prevention & control, with a proven track record of developing policies, conducting audits, and leading education initiatives.
* Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of IPC principles, microbiology, and epidemiology; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to analyze data and implement improvements; effective leadership and teamwork abilities.
