The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with Irish employment law and Revenue requirements.
You will play a key role in supporting employees, maintaining payroll systems, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Accurately process weekly and/or monthly payroll for employees in line with company deadlines.
Ensure compliance with Irish tax legislation, Revenue guidelines, and employment law.
Maintain employee payroll records, including new starters, leavers, and changes to pay or benefits.
Manage statutory deductions such as PAYE, PRSI, USC, and pension contributions.
Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Respond to employee queries regarding payslips, deductions, and payroll processes.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.
Assist with audits, year-end processing, and reporting requirements (e.g., Revenue submissions).
Support process improvement initiatives within the payroll function.
Key Requirements Previous experience in a payroll position, ideally within Ireland.
Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation, Revenue Online Service (ROS), and statutory reporting requirements.
Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage, Micropay, or similar) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.
Desirable IPASS qualification (Irish Payroll Association) or working towards it.
Experience with multinational payroll operations.
