Procurement Manager Position
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the purchasing process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of orders and maintaining optimal stock levels.
About the Role
This position plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency and achieving service level targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing the full order cycle, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
* Monitoring deliveries and resolving any delays or past-due shipments
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Analysing branch and product performance data to make informed decisions
* Adjusting stock forecasts and replenishment parameters to maintain service levels at optimal cost
* Negotiating and coordinating stock cleanses, focusing on reducing aged stock
* Tracking supplier performance and gathering market intelligence for negotiations
* Supporting promotional activities and franchise operations
* Resolving invoice and debit note queries with suppliers
* Attending stakeholder meetings and providing updates on procurement activities
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* A third-level qualification in Purchasing or a related discipline
* Previous experience in a purchasing role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable
* Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and manage detailed information effectively
