Electrical Design Engineer R&D Position
This role focuses on the development of advanced cooling technologies for high-density data centres, AI/HPC environments and industrial applications. As an Electrical Design Engineer in this position you will contribute to electrical systems design, controls architectures and instrumentation.
You will collaborate closely with mechanical, software and test engineers to define electrical strategies from early concept stages through prototype build.
* Develop detailed electrical schematics using AutoCAD or equivalent tools
* Select and specify electrical components such as relays, breakers contactors VSDs EC fans actuators compressors power supplies safety hardware
* Evaluate designs against CE requirements relevant standards
Key Responsibilities - Controls & Instrumentation:
The successful candidate is expected to take a leading role in defining sensors instrumentation across refrigerant air water systems (temperature pressure flow humidity differential pressure level etc.) Develop control logic sequencing overall system behaviour Evaluate communicate protocols integration methods including analog digital I/O Modbus BACnet PWM 010V signals Support panel builders software teams clear I/O mappings signal descriptions specifications Review sensor performance control behaviour recommending improvements where required 3+ years experience degree in Electrical Engineering Mechatronics related discipline Strong ability read interpret electrical schematics Proven experience selecting integrating transducers instruments Solid understanding basic theory Familiarity VSDs motors valves actuation relay industrial digital/analog I/O Ability work cross-functional teams (mechanical software) Excellent documentation communication skills Knowledge data centre cooling architecture Desirable UL Standards exposure hands-on calibration acquisition systems PLC function block environments Carel WebCTRL Skills: Electrical Controls Engineering Mechatronics/
