This role is ideal for a motivated professional seeking to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Principle ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to the kitchen and be able to lead by example to ensure your high standards filter throughout the kitchenTo understand fully and be able to prepare accurately all dishes on the menu and liaise with the kitchen staff.Meals are to be served efficiently with the minimum of fuss or delay, always adhering to expected standards.Awareness of being courteous to your colleagues and assisting them when needed.To assist in ensuring the restaurant is always running to an extremely high standard.To assist Head Chef in ensuring that desired gross profits are attained.To ensure the agreed standard of uniform and personal hygiene are carried out in the Kitchen at all times.To assist the Head Chef in ensuring that the highest standard of operational hygiene is used at all times in the Kitchen area.To liaise with stores and ensure all food purchased are to the agreed standard, quality and price.To ensure that all Kitchen equipment, fixtures and fittings are in good working order and to ensure that no item of equipment is misused and to take appropriate corrective action for maintenance of sameTo carry out training with all staff to the agreed standards laid down in the SOP manual and at the agreed repertoire.This job description is not intended to be either prescriptive or exhaustive, it is issued as a framework to outline main areas of responsibilities at the time of writing.Required Experience & SkillsMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.Working knowledge of HACCP & other food safety regulations.To have a passion for food and go out of your way to ensure the best possible standards are being delivered every shift.You must have an exceptional eye for detail.
