The Role – HVAC Technician
As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across commercial and fit out projects.
This is a hands on role requiring strong fault finding ability, solid technical knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems, and a commitment to delivering high quality workmanship.
You will play a key part in ensuring mechanical systems operate efficiently, safely and in line with client expectations, while supporting project timelines and maintaining excellent service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine HVAC maintenance including filter changes, refrigerant checks, duct inspections and system performance testing
Diagnose and repair faults across air conditioning, ventilation, heating and chilled water systems
Conduct detailed troubleshooting and fault finding on mechanical and electrical HVAC components
Install, commission and service HVAC systems in commercial and fit out environments
Maintain accurate job documentation including service reports, parts used and follow up recommendations
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company QEHS procedures
Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle to a high standard
Interact professionally with clients to assess heating and cooling requirements and provide technical advice
Respond to emergency call outs when required
About You
Fully qualified Refrigeration or HVAC Technician with completed apprenticeship
Minimum 3 to 4 years post trade experience in HVAC maintenance and installation
Strong understanding of HVAC systems including electrical and mechanical components
Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
Full clean Irish driving licence
Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills and ability to deal directly with clients
Self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
High standards of workmanship with strong attention to detail and deadlines
