Programme Coordinator – Energy & Climate Initiatives (Public Sector – Hybrid, 12-Month Contract)

€52,546 per annum (fixed, non-negotiable)

We are partnering with a well-established public sector organisation to recruit a Programme Coordinator to join their Public Sector Services function within a broader regulatory and compliance-focused division.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting national sustainability and climate initiatives.
You will work closely with public sector bodies to enhance operational efficiency and support the achievement of evolving environmental targets.
You will join a collaborative and purpose-driven organisation delivering high-impact programmes across Ireland, with a strong emphasis on innovation, continuous improvement, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Support the coordination and oversight of a panel of specialist service providers delivering supports to public sector organisations
Assist in the delivery of key programme elements, including performance reviews and target gap analysis
Contribute to the development of standardised supports aimed at improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact
Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and stakeholder engagement initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop communications materials, including case studies and webinars
Represent the organisation at meetings, site visits, and external events as required
Support budget tracking and cost management across programme activities
Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to support effective programme delivery
About You – Essential Requirements
Degree (minimum NFQ Level 7) in Business, Science, Technology, Building Services, or a related discipline
Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a similar role or environment
Strong stakeholder management experience across both internal and external teams
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and produce high-quality reports
Proven organisational and coordination capabilities
About You – Desirable Requirements
Experience within sustainability, environmental, or energy-related sectors
Experience working with or supporting public sector organisations
Exposure to project and/or budget management
Knowledge of efficiency improvement, environmental targets, or building services
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
Experience delivering high-quality stakeholder or customer engagement
