Summary
We're looking for a dynamic National Operations Manager to lead the charge in creating a unified, high-performing UK team. This is your opportunity to make a real impact in streamlining processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring exceptional quality across every project we deliver.

By aligning teams and optimising resources, you'll not only enhance client confidence but also free up our Managing Director to focus on strategic growth. Job Specification
The key accountabilities and associated duties include:
1. Organisational Alignment
* Establish a cohesive operational leadership structure under the MD.
* Align processes, KPIs, and performance goals across all UK departments.
* Ensure all teams work toward common objectives and deliverables.
* Margin protection and improvement.
* Owning operational costs across departments.
* Contributing to budgets and forecasting.
1. Efficiency & Quality Assurance Improvement
* Drive inter-departmental efficiency through standardised workflows and best practices.
* Optimise utilisation of staff and equipment, reducing duplication of effort and Driving utilisation above agreed thresholds.
* Implement robust QA measures to enhance client confidence and minimise rework.
1. Cross-Team Communication & Collaboration
* Break down communication barriers between departments.
* Coordinate day-to-day operations nationally to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Facilitate knowledge sharing and lessons learned across teams for consistent outcomes.
* Managing labour forecasting, pipeline vs. capacity, and sector demand planning.
* Acting as the escalation point for operational issues.
* Implementing RCA (root cause analysis) across the UK.
1. Strategic Support
* Release time and bandwidth for the MD to focus on strategic growth initiatives.
* Provide operational insights and recommendations to support business development.
* Driving adoption of new processes, brand, systems.
Role Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years in operations management, preferably in a technical or project-driven environment.
* Strong understanding of the geospatial industry and its operational challenges.
* Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and influence at senior levels.
* Degree in Business Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
* Familiarity with project management tools, ERP systems, and data-driven decision-making.
* Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to travel nationwide as required.
