requires a Ground Works Specialist.
Job Overview
As a Ground Works Specialist at Vardis Group, you will play a critical role in the initial phases of our construction and civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for preparing sites to the "highest possible standards," ensuring foundational integrity for our residential and commercial builds.
Key Responsibilities
* Site Preparation:
Execute precise site clearing and levelling in line with Vardis Group's commitment to quality and safety.
* Drainage & Utilities:
Install complex drainage systems and underground utilities essential for modern residential developments.
* Plant Operation:
Safely operate excavators and dumpers; perform daily maintenance checks to ensure machinery is site-ready.
* Collaboration:
Coordinate with Site Foremen and Civil Engineers to ensure project milestones are met on schedule.
* Health & Safety:
Maintain a "safety-first" environment, strictly following company-specific RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements).
Requirements & Qualifications
* Experience:
Proven track record in groundworks for large-scale residential or commercial projects.
Certifications:
* Valid
SOLAS Safe Pass
(Mandatory).
* Manual Handling certification.
* Physical Demands:
Good physical health is required for heavy manual tasks; flexibility for early starts (typically 7:30 AM) is essential.
* Attributes:
