Job Overview
To lead and manage the delivery of occupational health services, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prevent staff becoming ill or injured due to workplace factors and assess employees who become unwell or injured while in the workplace.
2. Promote health and wellbeing in the work place.
3. Provide timely and quality care in the event of workplace injury or illness.
4. Proactively manage occupational hazards through risk assessment.
5. Help staff remain in the workforce after illness or injury by advising on interventions such as reasonable accommodations and phased return to work programmes.
Skills Required
* Experience of case management, condition management programmes.
* Occupational health nurse advisor role experience.
* Knowledge of health promotion in work settings.
* Infection control issues knowledge.
* Manual handling risk management experience.
* Stress management techniques knowledge.
* Occupational health provision experience in healthcare settings.
