Mechanical Construction Manager
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical process piping, packages, and site safety on a pharmaceutical project. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and support site safety in collaboration with the safety and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and support site safety in collaboration with the safety and project teams.
2. Manage site quality assurance with input from the QA Manager.
3. Assist in maintaining and tracking the project schedule.
4. Oversee and control project costs including labour, materials, plant, and variations.
5. Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure progress aligns with project goals.
6. Manage the on-site team and coordinate across all disciplines.
7. Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, and manpower levels.
8. Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and package leads.
9. Manage snagging and punch lists in support of QA/QC.
10. Report labour hours for direct staff and subcontractors.
11. Lead site meetings and reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
12. Support project close-out including documentation, handover, and resource relocation.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager role or similar. A trade background or relevant third-level qualification in engineering or construction is essential. Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and construction programmes effectively is required. Additionally, a strong knowledge of the complete design and construction lifecycle and demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects are necessary.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is €75,000 - €90,000 DOE. An annual bonus, pension, and car allowance are also included in the benefits package.
