About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Agricultural Marketing & Events Manager to lead high-profile rural events and marketing initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of major agricultural shows, including Ireland's iconic Ploughing Championship and Tullamore Show, while managing smaller events year-round. The role requires someone with a strong agricultural background, confident in engaging with farmers and sector professionals, and able to speak their language.
You will report directly to the Head of Marketing and work closely with senior leaders and board members. While you will have one Marketing Executive reporting to you, much of the role is independent and autonomous, offering the freedom to manage events, budgets, and marketing campaigns end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of major agricultural events and smaller initiatives throughout the year.
2. Serve as a key point of contact for farmers, stakeholders, and rural communities, ensuring events and campaigns resonate with the audience.
3. Manage event budgets and collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality campaigns.
4. Ensure marketing and branding initiatives comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
5. Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, including board members and executives, providing updates and insights.
6. Drive innovation and bring creative ideas to marketing and event strategies.
Essential Skills & Experience:
7. Strong agricultural background or experience, ideally someone familiar with farming life and terminology.
8. Proven event management experience, particularly with agricultural shows or rural events.
9. Mid-level marketing experience with the ability to work independently.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with farmers, colleagues, and senior executives.
11. Ability to manage multiple priorities, plan effectively, and deliver high-impact events.
