This role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual with strong communication skills and organisational skills.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Lead GenerationManage inbound enquiries, qualify leads, and convert opportunities into sales.Proactively conduct outbound sales activity to targeted customer segments and follow up on marketing campaigns.Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate lead and pipeline information.Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to support sales initiatives and campaigns.Support in the preparation of proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.Customer Care Relationship ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring timely responses and high-quality service.Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers through regular communication and follow-up.Handle customer queries, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution to a high standard.Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Operations, Quality, Lab Teams) to ensure customer requirements are met.Commercial Administrative SupportSupport the wider commercial team with administrative tasks including documentation, reporting, and pipeline tracking.Contribute to continuous improvement of sales and service processes to enhance customer experience.Monitor market trends and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities or service improvements.Where you've come from:Proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management, ideally in a B2B environment.Experience in or an interest in life sciences, or laboratory services sector is advantageous.Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite required.Who you are:Customer-focused, energetic, and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for delivering excellent service.Commercial minded, with the confidence to engage with customers and support sales opportunities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.Highly organized and attentive to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesCollaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Willingness to learn about CLS's services and the life sciences industry to provide informed support to clients.Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly.Professional, reliable, and adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
